“Talkdesk” has created the first edition of the“ TDX Merit Awards”, with the support of the University of Coimbra. According to Talkdesk, the initiative aims at “recognising excellent academic pathways through the awarding of scholarships for masters and doctoral students”.

Thus, one of the annual “TDX Merit Awards”, is addressed exclusively to bachelor graduate students who continue their 2nd cycle studies in one of the following Master degrees offered by the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra: Master in Informatics Engineering, Master in Software Engineering, Master in Informatics Security and Master in Design and Multimedia.

The other award – “Talkdesk Doctoral Awards” – is for doctoral students (Doctoral Programme in Information Science and Technology), recognised for their academic performance and research projects.

Applications for both awards are open until the 31st of December at https://talkdesk.com/tdx/merit-awards

The University of Coimbra and Talkdesk – a company with offices in San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Lisbon and Oporto entered the restricted universe of "unicorn" companies (startups worth over $ 1 billion) – established a technical-scientific cooperation agreement in December 2018. More recently, the two entities established the TDX-UC Data Science Academy, a data science-training programme that began last September.
