Launched in 2020, the Global Digital Human Rights Network project is funded by the European agency COST - European Cooperation in Science and Technology, and involves researchers from 33 countries, including Portugal. It explores the theoretical and practical challenges of human rights in the context of digital globalisation. The European group will hold its first in-person meeting on the 20th and 21st of September at Colégio da Trindade, (Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra).

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online - "Zoom") with more than 30 participants from across Europe.

In addition to the meeting, the project will run the first practical training "Coimbra Training School": Current Issues and Awareness of Digital Human Rights". Its main objective is to increase knowledge about innovative research related to human rights and the Internet.
