Fernando Ramos takes office for a second term 'with an eye to continuity'
The swearing-in ceremony of the reelected FFUC Director took place this Wednesday, the 7th of February, in the UC Senate Hall.
As he begins his second term as Director of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra (FFUC), Fernando Ramos proudly announced the reappointment of the same Deputy Directors who have supported him over the past two years. He thanked Gabriela Silva, Carlos Cavaleiro, and João Sousa for their 'loyalty, availability, and commitment'.
With an eye to continuity, Fernando Ramos aims to consolidate the impressive results achieved by FFUC while maintaining the ambition to surpass them. Internationally, the Faculty of Pharmacy ‘has reached a level never before attained’ and is now among the top 100 worldwide in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. In particular, FFUC “has excelled in the areas of research, innovation and development, leading to awards and competitive funding for the UC, such as the recently launched GeneT”.
The rector of the UC praised 'the ongoing work' of FFUC, a faculty that 'has managed to produce excellent indicators' in terms of research and teaching.
Fernando Jorge dos Ramos was reelected as FFUC Director for the 2023-2025 term.
