The 3rd EC2U Week was organised by the University of Salamanca and was the first to allow, after a long break, an in-person meeting of the EC2U community, also allowing remote participation. The previous meetings were organised by the University of Poitiers and the University of Turku, but only virtually due to the pandemic situation.

Next EC2U Week will take place in Pavia in the first week of April 2022 and is expected to be held in a fully face-to-face format.

The European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual Alliance consisting of 7 long-standing, education and research-led universities from diverse regions of the European Union.

The members of the EC2U Alliance are: the University of Coimbra (Portugal), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania), the University of Jena (Germany), the University of Pavia (Italy), the University of Poitiers (France), the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the University of Turku (Finland).
