The UC delegation, led by João Nuno Calvão da Silva, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni, visited the country from 31 October until 2 November, aiming to strengthen academic, scientific and cultural cooperation with several institutions.

Agreements were signed with the Polytechnic University Mohammed VI, focusing on projects in the area of sustainability and energy, and with Planeta De Agostini Formation/École Supérieure de Tourism in the areas of Tourism and Heritage Science. The visit also included a meeting with the Portuguese Ambassador to Morocco, Bernardo Futscher Pereira.

According to João Nuno Calvão da Silva, “the internationalisation of the UC needs to be widened, and cooperation ties with the French-speaking world need to be strengthened, especially in such an important geostrategic country like Morocco”.
